Vintage Conway Stewart 36 - uncommon blue stripe pattern!
This fantastic model was primarily manufactured in England from the mid-1950s to the early 1960s. Made of celluloid, and presented in a wonderful less common blue striped pattern with gold coloured trim
Key Identification Features
Barrel Imprint: The model number "Conway Stewart 36" and "made in England" are imprinted and visible under light.
Condition: The pen is in good vintage condition. The gold coloured cap jewel is in place, the CS branded tab is still attached to the lever and the cap bands are tight to the cap. There are microscratches present, a small blemish to the barrel and some brassing to the lever.
Filling System: The pen uses a lever-fill mechanism, a traditional and reliable system developed by Conway Stewart in the 1920s. A new sac has been fitted and the pen is ready for use.
Nib: The nib is 14K gold and is marked with the number "5N". It is a smooth writer, though not flexible. Probably a medium.
