Swan "leverless" Fountain Pen - model 1060
This vintage Swan Mabie Todd fountain pen comes complete with the original box!
It is a model 1060 and dates from around 1940’s. The pen has a wonderful “Eternal” #4 nib - large for a vintage pen, less common, and when originally made used thicker gold than the average Swan nib!
It is a firm nib, and writes a smooth precise fine line. No flex.
Overall the pen is in good used vintage condition. No cracks. The trim has some very small areas of brassing, and there are microscratches present but difficult to see in normal lighting conditions. There are 2 small rubs to the barrel, and a ring around the base of the barrel where the cap has been posted. See photos.
A new sac has been professionally fitted and the pen fills with a twisted of the turning knob at the end of the barrel.
