The Visconti Van Gogh "Portrait Blue" (also known as Portrait in Blue or Self-Portrait) is a fountain pen inspired by Vincent van Gogh's 1889 oil painting, Self-Portrait. Part of the Impressionist collection, it features a unique 18-faceted resin barrel designed to catch light and enhance its vivid, swirling colors.
The pen is crafted from a unique mix of vegetal resins to replicate the specific palette of the painting, including navy blue, turquoise, white, and red, with chrome coloured trim. The centre cap ring is delicately engraved with the artist's name ("Van Gogh") and the name of the painting.
The nib is stainless steel in fine width (engraved on the nib). This pen features the magnetic locking system for secure capping, and the imprinted Visconti arched "bridge" spring pocket clip.
