This is a very smart and elegant pen, slender and suitable for a note book loop, but still with a presence!
This is a ST Dupont Classique fountain pen in the laque de chine finish. These models were produced between 1973 and 2014. Unfortunately I cannot date this pen more precisely, but it is in nice condition, with no damage.
It has a serial number imprinted on the side of the clip, and “ST Dupont Paris laque de chine” around the wide cap band.
The lacquer on this pen is in a wonderful deep red with hints of black. The gold trim (including the clip within laid red lacquer) really works well in contrast.
The nib is an 18k medium (I think the size is not marked) spear shape. The cap slides on easily and closes with a confident “click”.
The pen is a cartridge converter filler and is supplied with the (used) ST Dupont converter and in the original box.
