The Sheaffer Legacy fountain is (at least IMHO) a fantastic pen.
Substantial in hand, well put together and on this pen a fantastic 18k fine nib, in the inlaid style made popular by Sheaffer pens in various models.
Designed with a nod to the vintage snorkel filling pen, the Pen For Men or PFM, this pen has a touchdown filling system which works as it should.
According to the SheafferTarga.com website, this pen is a Model 865 or 853- Sheaffer Legacy 2.
To quote the excellent website: “Sandblasted platinum plated barrel with a matte black cap with palladium electroplated trim, fitted with a solid 18ct gold nib with palladium electroplate overlay.
Presented in original, if slightly tatty, box.
Was part of the Sheaffer Legacy 2 -Trendsetters range.
Years of production: 1999 to 2002”
Signs of use are present, but the pen is in overall good condition.
