This is a nice example of a highly desirable early model Pelikan M800 fountain pen.
It has 2 specific features of note. First, the brass disc on the end of the piston filling knob and second, the cap band is stamped “Pelikan - W.Germany” which make this pen stand out from the later versions.
The pen itself is in the green stripe/black cap/gold coloured trim configuration, and in good overall condition for its age. Used, and with minor signs of wear. No damage or cracks and piston filler operates correctly. Barrel has some transparency when held up to light.
The nib is an 18C or 18k bi-tone fine width, that is firm and writes a smooth line for me.
The pen is presented in the hard shell inner and cardboard outer box (not original to this pen).
