It is a piston filler which works well.
The 14k bi-tone nib writes a smooth medium line.
The cap finial is a modern single chick variety, which dates the pen to 2010 or later.
Overall the pen is in good used condition. There are some microsratches present on the cap, and a small area of tarnish on the cap bands.
