Orange Parker Duofold Centennial First Generation Fountain Pen
Parker Pens started selling the first generation of Parker Duofold Centennial fountain pens in 1988. In 1989, Parker introduced the slightly smaller (in length and girth) but equally high quality International model. The first generation was replaced by the second generation in 1996, the most noticeable difference being the change in cap bands from one thick and one thin to two thick cap rings. The modern Duofold range of pens are great quality, good value, and with a significant number of pleasing variants, are great to collect.
This Parker Duofold Centennial fountain pen in orange with gold trim is a first generation pen. Orange was introduced as a colour in 1990, dating this pen from 1990-1996.
The pen is in good used condition, there are minor signs of wear in particular some micro scratches visible under a loupe to the barrel end where the cap has been posted.
The pen is supplied with a Parker converter for use with bottled ink.
The nib is medium width and 18k with the iconic arrow design. The cap finial is present stating Parker Duofold and with a spiral design.
