Montblanc Writers Edition Antoine de Saint-Exupéry Limited Edition Fountain Pen (released in 2017) pays tribute to the legendary French aviator and author of The Little Prince.
Aviation-Inspired Design: The overall shape and dark blue precious resin body are inspired by Saint-Exupéry’s iconic Caudron Simoun aircraft and his famous novel Night Flight.
Riveted Texture: The cap and barrel feature an elaborate surface texture with engravings that recall the rivets of an airplane.
Cockpit-Style Fittings: The platinum-coated fittings, including the clip and trim, are modeled after the instrument panels of a vintage airplane cockpit.
Celestial Engravings: The barrel and cap are engraved with a representation of the night sky exactly as Saint-Exupéry saw it on November 1, 1929, at 11:00 PM during his inaugural flight for Aeroposta Argentina.
Global Landmarks: The cone of the pen is engraved with the geographic coordinates of important cities from the author's life and travels.
18K Nib: A smooth writing 18k gold nib in medium width with a delicate star engraving—a direct reference to the star illustrations in The Little Prince.
