First Generation Parker Duofold Black & Pearl International Fountain Pen and Pencil set
Parker Pens started selling the first generation of Parker Duofold Centennial fountain pens in 1988. In 1989, Parker introduced the slightly smaller (in length and girth) but equally high quality International model. The first generation was replaced by the second generation in 1996, the most noticeable difference being the change in cap bands from one thick and one thin to two thick cap rings. The modern Duofold range of pens are great quality, good value, and with a significant number of pleasing variants, are great to collect.
This Parker Duofold International fountain pen and mechanical pencil set is in the magnificent black and pearl colour way. Black and pearl was introduced as a colour in 1992, a pattern dating back to Parker pens of the 1920’s, dating this pen from 1992-1996.
The pencil has lead, and is fully operational. there is a virtually unused eraser under the top of the pencil.
The fountain pen is in very good used condition with only micro scratches to the black barrel end present from posting. It is a cartridge converter filler, and will be supplied with a Parker proprietary cartridge. The pen has an 18k medium nib in the fantastic Parker arrow design.
