I really like a modern pen that takes design cues from a vintage model, and this hits the spot perfectly!
This modern Conway Stewart “Duro” model fountain pen is inspired by the Conway Stewart model of the same name made in the 1920’s.
This pen has a 18k (750) gold hallmarked cap band, which accentuates the elegance of the black resin barrel and cap, with gold coloured trim. The clip especially is a feature, again based on the vintage version. The hallmark includes the letter e which I believe dates it to 2004.
The barrel is imprinted with “Conway Stewart DURO made in England” and the limited edition number.
The pen is on the larger side, measuring approx 13.5cms when capped.
The pen is a cartridge converter filler, and a converter is included.
The nib is an 18k yellow gold medium Conway Stewart nib.
The pen is used, and there are minor signs of this with some microscratches but overall, the pen is in good condition. There is no box.
