Cross Townsend fountain pens are in my humble opinion underrated. They look fantastic, and write smoothly in my experience!
This pen is in the Cardinal red colour way, a deep red with black marbling, giving the appearance of red jasper. The pen has rolled gold trim. This model was introduced by Cross in 1997.
The pen is in good used condition. There are micro-scratches present, some small amount of pitting to the gold ring above the nib, and a small rub scratch to the nib end of the barrel. These are difficult see in normal daylight but easily seen under bright light/magnification.
The pen is a cartridge converter filler (not supplied). It is a fairly heavy pen, but not uncomfortably so. The cap slips on/off very firmly. The clip is straight and tight to the barrel.
The nib is yellow gold 14k smooth medium width.
