Parker Duofold International fountain pen - 18k OBB nib!
Parker Pens started selling the first generation of Parker Duofold Centennial fountain pens in 1988. In 1989, Parker introduced the slightly smaller (in length and girth) but equally high quality International model. The first generation was replaced by the second generation in 1996, the most noticeable difference being the change in cap bands from one thick and one thin to two thick cap rings. The modern Duofold range of pens are great quality, good value, and with a significant number of pleasing variants, are great to collect.
This Parker Duofold International fountain pen in iconic black with gold trim is a first generation pen. Black was introduced as a colour in 1988, dating this pen from 1988-1996.
The pen is in good used condition. There are micro scratches present as you would expect from a pen of this age.
The pen is a cartridge converter filler, and is supplied with a converter.
The nib is spectacular! It is not marked, but I think is an oblique double broad or OBB in 18k in the Parker arrow design. It is extremely broad - over 1mm wide!!
